Mistake #2:Too many keywords per ad group.
We’ve seen it far too often, our clients put too many keywords into an ad group. In fact, some of them dump over a thousand keywords into an ad group! That is a big mistake and will prevent you from getting high relevancy and quality scores in AdWords.
Here’s a rule of thumb to remember: use 25 keywords per ad group. More than 25 keywords makes keyword ad copy relevancy hard to maintain.
Solution:
We’ve found that one of the biggest challenges that arises from not creating a small tightly-related ad group to begin with is the amount of work it takes to go in later and segment the keywords from a big list.
However, iSpionage’s keyword grouping tool is designed to do exactly that. It’s filtering and bucketing technology allows users to create tightly relevant keyword ad groups without having to worry about having duplicate keywords in the groups.
For example:
You want to create keyword groups out of a list of 153 keywords. All you need to do is to specify the criteria for the keyword group.

All keyword phrases that match the criteria will be moved out of your original list into a smaller list as in figure 2.
