Affiliate marketing mindset

I'm sure you’ve heard some variation of the following: “So-and-so makes so much money on the Internet, he now lives on the beach, surfs during the day, works for just a few hours at night, and wakes up in the morning to see thousands of new dollars that’s just arrived in his bank account.”

Is it true? Is it really possible?

It is, in fact, I personally know someone who just passed the $70,000 profit-per-month barrier recently.

However, most overnight Internet success stories really spent years in training, where they learned how to succeed online.   

Now let’s use this person that I know as an example. While his current success is impressive, it stands in stark contrast to his life when he first started out online. In the first few years of his Internet marketing life, he barely scraped by. He gave up sleep to work, he spent money he didn’t have both on his education and on business tools . And he basically put aside his life to balance both a regular job during the day and an Internet business at night for years until he finally “got it.”

This period was necessary for the success that he is now experiencing.

In his book, The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell conducted a study that shows the relationship between one’s training and success. For example, Bill Gates spent his entire childhood hanging around an early version of a PC, while the other kids were having fun.

Heck, even The Beatles spent 4 years in Berlin playing in small pubs before finally made it.

The good news is that in today’s information age, you don't have to go through years of trial and error to succeed.  You still have to go through a period of training, but it doesn’t have to be that long.

In fact, with the right mindset, tools and perseverance, you can start reaping success in affiliate marketing in a just a few months.

But it really depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. The key is to push it to your limit, but don't go over that limit because if you do, you'll get burned out which usually leads to you thinking, "This isn't working for me. I quit"

Why am I telling you all this? Because you need to have the correct mindset and attitude toward what you’re going to do. You can be an expert affiliate marketer if you pay your dues. Remember that old saying, “No pain, no gain?” Well, it certainly applies to affiliate marketing.
